Gary & Ann Moeller Scholarship
2024/2025
Oliver Kammeraad will attend the University of Michigan’s School of Literature, Science, and the Arts beginning in the fall of 2024. He graduates from Detroit Catholic Central High School with a GPA of 4.965. Oliver is the President of the Catholic Central Finance Club and writes for the Catholic Central Spectrum newspaper. He tutors his peers at his school’s after school study hall and is involved with the National Honor Society. In his time at Catholic Central, he was involved in Cross Country, Quiz Bowl, DECA, and intramural sports. Oliver looks forward to the years he will spend at the University of Michigan. Jackson Quinn

2024/2025
Jackson will be attending the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts to study
Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience. A graduate of Wylie E. Groves High School,
Jackson was a swimmer, captained the water polo team, and played trumpet in the marching
band where he served as a section leader. He was a member of the National Honors Society
and Big Brother Big Sister, and a Campus Captain for The Hidden Opponent, a nonprofit
dedicated to advocacy for student-athlete mental health. After receiving his black belt in Tae
Kwon Do and Hapkido, Jackson volunteered as a teacher in his studio. He took many AP
courses and maintained a high GPA, earning awards such as AP Scholar, National Merit
Commended Scholar, OAA Scholar Athlete, MWPA Academic All-State, and the U-M Regents
Merit Scholarship. He enjoyed his summers completing projects through his job with the local

2023/2024
Josh Tucker will be attending Michigan’s Ross School of Business to pursue his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He is graduating from South Lyon High School with a GPA over 4.3. Josh was heavily involved in his school, leading in the National Honor Society, Student Council, and even starting his own club. He balanced an IT internship on top of his schoolwork and takes much pride in his work. He also loves to spend his time volunteering, especially with the local recreation sports leagues. He has been awarded two Michigan Community Impact awards and does not plan to slow down with service in college. Rohan Aggarwal

2022/2023
Rohan plans to attend the College of Engineering to pursue an education in mechanical engineering and is the recipient of the Moeller Scholarship. Rohan was a varsity swimmer all throughout high school and captain of the swim team his senior year. Rohan took over a dozen AP Classes, all while maintaining a high GPA and class standing. Rohan has won many awards, such as National Merit Finalist, Macomb County Academic Dream Team, All Academic State Team, and AP Scholar with Distinction. Rohan is an active member of his community, volunteering to play music for hospice patients and serving food in Detroit.Arvin Yaple

2021/2022
Arvin is a graduate of Ernest W. Seaholm High School in Birmingham. He intends to enroll in the College of LS&A. Arvin earned a GPA of over 4.0 and completed 8 AP courses including BC Calculus, Chemistry, Chinese, Economics, English Language, Environmental Science, Physics, and United States History. He achieved multiple academic honors including College Board AP Scholar with Honor, advancing to level two of the Michigan Mathematics Prize Competition, and winning the UM Regents Merit scholarship. Outside of class, Arvin was a member of the NHS, Science NHS, Rotary club, and was president of the Environment Club and National Chinese Honors Society. He also joined the tennis team and forensics team, where he advanced to the state competition multiple times. During his summers, Arvin volunteered at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit where he helped patients apply for government support. Logging hundreds of hours, he won the Presidential Volunteer Service Award. In his free time, Arvin worked at a local smoothie shop. Noah Bock

2020/2021
Noah plans to enroll in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts and is the recipient of the Gary & Ann Moeller Scholarship. Noah finished first in his class with an unweighted 4.0 GPA. Noah was a member of many in-school clubs; including National Honor Society, Quiz Bowl team, Link Crew, Students in Action and Student Council, was president his senior year. He was also a member of the track, cross county and chamber orchestra club. Throughout his high school career, Noah was a recipient of many awards: Eagle Scout Award, National Merit Scholar Commended Student, Monroe County Education Association Academic All-Star, Michigan Track Coaches Association Academic All-State, Michigan Southeastern Conference Scholar-Athlete Award and AP Scholar. Noah took a demanding academic schedule with seven AP classes. He volunteered with Youth Leadership Toledo and was an active member of his church group.
Alexander Mettler
Detroit Country Day High SchoolGary & Ann Moeller Scholarship
2019/2020
Alexander plans to enroll in the College of Engineering and is the recipient of the Gary & Ann Moeller Scholarship. Alexander was the President of the class board and President of the Entrepreneurship Club all four years of high school. He was a team member of the Robotics and Electric Car club and captain of the varsity tennis team. In the school’s science fair, he was the recipient of the grand prize in physical science. Outside of school, Alexander did research in science and engineering, creating a provisional patent for life lure and awarded first place in the MPowered Entrepreneurship Competition for the Life Lure. Alexander participated in multiple science and engineering fairs: earning first place in Environmental Engineering at Science & Engineering Fair of Metro Detroit, 4th place overall at the Michigan Science and Engineering fair and earned nine professional awards including ASM International Top Materials Award. Alexander is also a tennis pro, teaching tennis lessons and volunteered at the Detroit Zoo and the Northville Fishing Derby. Alexander earned multiple science and engineering awards, National Scholar athlete award and ASM International Top Material Science Award.
Vishal Nayak
Canton High SchoolGary & Ann Moeller Scholarship
2019/2020
Vishal Nayal plans to enroll in the College of Engineering and is the recipient of the Gary and Ann Moeller Scholarship. Vishal finished first in his class with a weighted GPA over a 4.0 overall. Vishal was an active board member of the Math Olympiad and captain of the Science and Chemistry Olympiad. He was part of the tennis team all four years and captain his senior year. Vishal achieved multiple academic awards, including 3-time Distinguished Honor Roll Member, as well as a 3-time American Mathematics School Winner and achieved first place in Astronomy at the Science Olympiad State Competition. Academically, he has taken advantage of the most rigorous AP classes including Biology, U.S. History, Chemistry, Calculus, Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. Vishal has also generously given his time and energies to his community as a volunteer coach for the East Middle School MathCounts Program and co-founded a musical group, which he played piano at local retirement homes.
Madison Caldwell

2018/2019
Madison Caldwell graduated with a 3.98 GPA at Saline High School and she plans to enroll in the College of LS&A. She took multiple AP classes including Chemistry, United States History, and Statistics, where she received a score of 5/5 on five of the AP exams. She received the honor of National Merit Commended Scholar her senior year and received the Gold Honor Roll award all four years of high school. Madison was Saline Student Council President and also participated in Varsity Cross Country and Varsity Tennis, where she served as captain her junior and senior year. She was very involved with her school by serving as the President and Co-Founder of Generation Global Club, serving as Bassoon Section Leader in Band, and participating in Marching Band as a saxophone player. Madison balanced her academics and extra-curricular activities by volunteering as a tutor for Proyecto Avance-Latino Mentoring Association and volunteering at Ten Teens Who Care.Sven Wollschlaeger

Sven Wollschlaeger is the recipient of the Gary & Ann Moeller Scholarship and is planning to enroll in the Ross School of Business. As a student at Monroe High School, Sven was active in numerous extracurricular activities including serving as Class President, President of National Honor Society, Vice President of “Pick-a-Stock and De-bate” Club, and Head Officer of Ignition Mentorship Program. He took many AP classes such as Calculus BC, Statistics, Physics, and English Language and Composition. With his academic rigor, Sven managed to be a DECA State Career Development Competition Finalist, a three-time state competition qualifier for Business Professionals of America and a scholar and researcher for LEAD Summer Business Institute. Anya Amin is the recipient of

of LS&A. As a student at Walled Lake
Central High School, Anya was active in numerous Extra Curricular Activities
including Women’s Varsity Tennis Team, National Honor Society, Quiz Bowl
Captain, and Spanish Club President. She took many AP classes such as US
History, Statistics, Psychology, and English Language and Composition, to name
a few. With her academic rigor, Anya managed to be a National Merit
Semifinalist, an AP Scholar with Distinction, and a KLAA Scholar Athlete. Anya
also participated in a ton of community service at St. Mary’s Hospital, Relay
for Life, and as a Chinmaya Mission Student Teacher.
Noah Bagazinski
Churchill High SchoolGary & Ann Moeller Scholarship
2015/2016
Noah Bagazinski plans to enroll into the School of Engineering and is the recipient of the Gary & Ann Moeller Scholarship. Noah has taken many AP Classes and maintains a 4.4 GPA. He has been a member of Student Council, Quiz Bowl, Euchre Club, Track & Field and is part of the MSC Program. He is active with his Church & the Boy Scouts of America, where he became the youngest Eagle Scout in his troop’s history. Noah participated in the Ford Motor Co High School Science & Technology Program and completed a research internship in engine calibration at Ford last summer. Noah’s ultimate goal is a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.
Ellen Green
Notre Dame Preparatory SchoolGary & Ann Moeller Scholarship
2014/2015
Ellen Green plans to enroll into the School of Engineering and is the recipient of the Gary & Ann Moeller Scholarship. Ellen is an active participant and a team leader in the First Robotics team at Notre Dame Preparatory School. First Robotics is an opportunity for students to experience STEM in the real world, designing, building and competing a robot. Ellen is a three-sport athlete and leader in many activities: National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Girls Scouts and many Church activities. She has worked as a Continuous Improvement Manager at Lighting Supply Company. She has learned to juggle all her activities while maintaining excellent grades at Notre Dame Preparatory School.
Sandeep Siva
Walled Lake CentralGary & Ann Moeller Scholarship
2013/2014
Sandeep Siva graduated from Walled Lake Central high school. Throughout high school, he was involved in a wide variety of extracurricular activities. He enjoyed playing South Indian classical music on the violin for ten years, and he actively participates in competitions and accompanies local artists in concerts. In Tae Kwon Do, he earned the honor of first degree black belt and later served as a martial arts instructor to other students. Sandeep has also played varsity level tennis on his school tennis team for two years. In addition, he has had the pleasure of serving as president of his school's science club for two years and as the student representative of his school's PTSA for two years.
In addition to extra-curricular activities, Sandeep also pursues his academic interests outside the classroom. One such outlet is participation in competitions in Math, Science, Arts, and Literature. He has received the Michigan Award of Excellence in literature in the PTA Reflections competition, earned the Michigan Math Prize Bronze awards two years in a row, and ranked fourteenth place within USA and Canada in the Cisco Netriders competition. Sandeep recently won the Lakes Area Optimist Club essay contest based on a theme of “How my Positive Outlook Benefits my Community.” He has also been selected as a National Merit Finalist. Sandeep plans to pursue a degree in engineering while at the University of Michigan.
Jacob Rainey
Whitmore Lake High School

2012/2013
Jacob C. Rainey is the first recipient of the Gary and Ann Moeller Scholarship. He is a graduate of Whitmore Lake High School, where he participated as a tutor for the Homework Club, a Student Council Representative and Indoor Track. He was a member and Secretary of the high school's National Honor Society. Jacob was homeschooled up until the 11th. grade. During that time he was a Children's Church worker and Youth Department pianist.
