Gabrielle Gippert graduated from Bloomfield Hills High School, where she was involved in National Honor Society, Orchestra, Figure Skating, and Volleyball. For all four years, she was named section leader for Orchestra and for her senior year she was named Captain of the Figure Skating Team. By taking Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate classes, she earned a 4.34 GPA. In the fall of 2024, she will attend the College of LS&A, with a goal to earn a B.S. in Psychology.Jonathan Lewand

My name is Jonny Lewand. I was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, and am currently a Senior at Seaholm High School. I am an active member of my community and school, participating in as many extracurricular activities as I can, including the National Honors Society, Make Me a Maple, the Diversity and Leadership Retreat, and many more, on top of being named an Academic All-American in lacrosse. In school, I have challenged myself by taking as many AP and honors classes as I could, finishing high school with a 4.511 GPA. Outside of school, and other than playing soccer and lacrosse, I enjoy spending time with my family and dog, watching the Lions, working out, playing video games, and hanging out with my friends. Next year I will be attending the University of Michigan School of Engineering for a degree in Mechanical Engineering and I am incredibly excited to start the next chapter of my life!

Quinn has excelled both academically and athletically during her high school career. She graduated as salutatorian of her class and participated in many Advanced Placement courses. She was named the Copy Editor for her school’s newspaper as well as the Business Editor for yearbook. Quinn was a four year varsity athlete, earned All League Honors in swimming three times, and was recently named as a recipient of the All American Academic award from the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches of America, Inc. All American Team. She was a co-captain of the FIRST Robotics team and the vice president of her school’s National Honors’ Society chapter. Quinn is looking forward to attending the University of Michigan as a member of the Residential College.

I plan to enroll in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. I graduated with an overall, unweighted GPA of 4.0 while taking a demanding course curriculum including honors classes such as Physics II and Calculus. I graduated first in my class, and earned High School Honor Roll for all four years. I earned my Varsity Letter freshman year, and earned my Academic Letter a year later. I have been the treasurer for our school's student government for four years, and the treasurer of Key Club for three. I have been a member of National Honor Society since my junior year, and have worked on several community projects over the years. I was awarded the title of Clarinet Section Leader my sophomore year, and have held the title ever since. Outside of academics, I have played on the varsity soccer team for four years, and recently earned the honor of being the captain. Adrianna Patanis graduated from South Lyon High school, where she was involved in cross country, track and field, National Honor Society, P.E.E.R.s, and Link Crew. For her senior seasons of cross country and track and field, she was one of the teams' captains, and she was a four-year varsity athlete for both sports as well. By taking Advanced Placement courses and challenging herself academically throughout high school, she earned a 4.158 GPA. Thomas graduated with Top Scholar designation from Ann Arbor Fr. Gabriel Richard High School and will attend the College of Engineering. He received numerous honors through Varsity Football including Team Captain, MVP, MHSAA Scholar-Athlete Finalist, CHSL All Catholic & All Academic, and set several school records. He also participated in Varsity Baseball (Captain & MHSBCA All State Academic), Kairos Retreat Leadership Team, National Honor Society, Digital Media Club, and volunteered with his church and local social services organization. Thomas received multiple academic honors including AP Scholar, National Latin Exam Summa Cum Laude, and several FGRHS class awards (Honors Algebra 2, Honors Chemistry, and AP Physics).

I plan to enroll in the College of LS&A. I’m currently at the top 1% of my graduating class with an unweighted GPA of 3.98. I've been active in many school activities, including Key Club, Freshman Assisting Mentor Program, National Honors Society President, and International Cultures Club E-Board Member. I’ve taken 5 AP classes and completed 22 college credit hours. I have also been a volunteer at Open Door Ministry Food Bank and a tutor for younger students. I went to Detroit Catholic Central High School. I'm planning on attending the College of Engineering at U of M - Ann Arbor and majoring in Mechanical Engineering. During high school, I had a cumulative GPA of around 4.7 and took multiple AP classes including European History, Language and Composition, Literature, Computer Science, French, and Calculus BC. I did one year of high school soccer, but have been playing club soccer since I was 11 and still to this day. I have been the Mechanical Captain for my school's robotics team for the last two years, I'm a member of French Club, I've played intramural sports, including football and basketball, and I'm a member of the National Honors Society. I've volunteered at homeless centers in Detroit, semi-professional soccer games, senior centers, senior citizen food distributors like FocusHope, and countless hours of tutoring underclassmen.

Chance plans to enroll in the College of LS&A and is a recipient of the Bicentennial Scholarship. Chance has taken many AP classes with a focus on the sciences. AP classes include Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Seminar, Research, and Calculus, finishing with a 4.253 weighted GPA and the AP scholar award. Because of this, he has received the highest academic awards offered through his high school. Chance is also a part of the National Honor Society, where he volunteers throughout his community. After school hours, Chance is the trumpet section captain for his high school marching band, and he has been a member of the marching and jazz bands for four years. Chance is also active in his school's student council where he attends weekly meetings, and attended student council states. He has participated in 20 musicals over the course of the past 9 years in the DYPAC community theater program. In addition to his extracurriculars, Chance lifeguards at a local pool during the summer, and during his time off enjoys kayaking.

Olivia plans to attend the University of Michigan School of Nursing in the fall. She is an intelligent and involved student. In addition to taking 7 AP classes including Psychology, Calculus, Environmental, Biology, Chemistry, Statistics, and English Literature and Composition, she has a 4.28 GPA. She is a member of the varsity basketball and softball team and has received All-Academic awards for both sports. She is a part of the National Honor Society, French Club and French Honor Society, and is Student Council Secretary. She plans to specialize in pediatrics and eventually become a Nurse Practitioner. Enzo Mignano is planning to enroll in the Taubman School of Architecture and Urban Planning in the Urban Technology program. He is a student at Monroe High School and active in a number of extracurricular activities including: Michigan Ross Enriching Academics in Collaboration with High Schools, National Honor Society, Business Professionals of America (Vice President), FIRST Robotics, Career and Technology Education Ambassador, Trojan Mentor, CALC Club (Secretary), and Interact (Rotary). He took many AP Classes such as Calculus AB, Chemistry, English Language and Composition, English Literature and Composition, and Statistics. Along with his academic rigor, Enzo managed to be a 4-time State Competition Qualifier for Business Professionals of America and won a top prize in the Monroe County Student Trojan Build Design Competition. Annabel plans to enroll in the College of LS&A and is the recipient of the Bicentennial Scholarship. Annabel finished 6th in her class with an overall GPA of 3.97. She had an extensive AP course list, which included U.S. History, World History, Spanish, U.S. Government, Chemistry, English Language, Calculus, Environmental Science and Psychology. Annabel was an active member of the Ferndale High School Marching Band all four years and a student leader for the marching band since her sophomore year. She participated in the Ferndale High School Pit and Orchestra ensemble, along with being a participating in cross-country, track and junior varsity soccer. Annabel received Cross-Country Leadership award and Cross-Country award for academic excellence. Annabel was also a member of the National Honor Society, where she participated in many volunteer hours, and was a member of the Student Council. Outside of school, Annabel babysat with multiple families and volunteered around her community.

Jack plans to enroll in the College of LS&A and is the recipient of the Bicentennial Scholarship. Jack finished with a weighted GPA of over a 4.0 overall, while taking multiple AP classes. Jack was the co-president of the Student Leadership Services and an active member of the varsity cross-country team, where he was captain his senior year. Jack was the founder and officer of the Science Olympiad. He volunteered with the National Honor Society and Student Leadership Services. Jack also volunteered his time to his Church services. Throughout his high school career, Jack received many honors and distinctions. He was a 4-time award winner of the Royal Oak School Scholar and earned Royal Oak High School academic distinction. In addition, Jack achieved AP scholar, National Merit Commended Student, Academic All-State Cross Country and Optimist Club International Royal Oak Youth Recognition award. Outside of academics, Jack volunteered at his church and help train the altar servers.
Madeline Purvis

Madeline plans to enroll in the College of Engineering and is the recipient of Bicentennial Scholarship. Madeline was active in-school activities, which include National Honor Society, varsity sideline cheerleading, varsity competitive cheerleading, varsity tennis, SADD and book club. She was captain of both cheerleading squads her senior year and junior varsity tennis captain her sophomore year. Madeline was part of the superintendent’s student advisory board and Troy Athens student council all four years and student council president her senior year. Madeline had an extensive list of AP courses, eleven total. This lead to many scholar awards; which include Capstone AP scholar, All-state academic team and scholar athlete. She had the highest GPA in the cheer program all fours years and earned Governor’s Service Award and The Irvin F. Swider Eternal Flame Award for student council charity week. Madeline was an active member in the community, which include but not limited to Detroit Street Care, The Jenna Kast Believe in Miracles Foundation and The Joan Rose Foundation.

Claire plans to enroll in the College of Engineering and is the recipient of the Bicentennial Scholarship. Claire was a member of the National Honor Society, symphonic band and marching band flute section leader. Claire took multiple AP courses, which include chemistry, biology, calculus, computer science, statistics, physics, English language and competition. Outside of school, Claire was an active member of numerous clubs. Claire was a HOSA national qualifier, National Economics Challenge Finalist, Project LEAD, Relay for Life, club med and USA Computing Olympiad Silver Edition. Claire earned National Merit semifinalist, USA Biology Olympiad Semifinalist and President’s Volunteer Service Award. Claire volunteered at St. John Hospital throughout her high school years.
